This site began after the 40th Reunion in
2003. With the help of individual
contributors,
the Website Name was purchased, and the monthly publishing fees
paid for about 2 yrs.
In 2005, the
funds ran out, and I began paying for the site by myself.
Late in 2006 I began to think that perhaps it was time to let
the website expire, since no one was helping me support it. As
word got out that I had been supporting the site by myself,
several classmates made generous contributions to help off-set
some of the costs for maintaining the website, as well as offset
some of costs I had incurred.
Currently, it
takes me about an hour to send out a blanket email to everyone
who's address we have. Without getting too technical, it
has to do with bandwidth, as well as the email program
limitations on how many emails can be sent out at one time.
This is a major hassle for me, and one of the things that
discourages me from making more timely updates.
I have decided
to purchase a Group Mail Software Package (GroupMail 5) that
would greatly simplify the effort and time it takes to email
everyone. The software is $129.95. I am hoping
enough people can contribute to the website to help offset this
cost to me, as well as to ensure the website expenses are
covered until our next class reunion. It is an annual
licensing fee that must be paid/renewed yearly.
Any help you can
offer will be greatly appreciated.
