Rip,

A little update: I retired from Whirlpool on June 1 and had a great summer at my home in the Berkshires (just outside of Lenox...near Tanglewood)...Sold our house in Michigan.

I got a call from the founder of my old public relations firm (Harold Burson) about a client on the West Coast looking for someone to head up their corporate communications department for 6-8 months during a mergerwith another company. I took it and am doing a bi-coastal commute every weekend (Southern Calif to Mass.)

At the end of October...Gerri and I move to our home in Tucson...which will make the commute a lot easier. My oldest daughter recently moved to LA, my middle one is in Australia working for a year and my youngest is a junior at Indiana University...and will study in Prague for second semester.

I wasn't ready for 24/7 retirement quite yet. My Whirlpool e mail still works (haven't gotten around to getting another one) and my numbers are below.
