"I became an owner of a semi-pro football team (Bergen Hawks) the  first in Bergen County in over 40 years. We petitioned the Big North East Football League(BNEFF) in Jan for entrance and was voted in as a member in Feb.
We finished our 1st season 9&1...won 2 playoff games to clinch our conference and will play in our Super Bowl Sunday Dec 20th 2pm game at our home field( a $7M complex) in Palisades Pk!
Our players are from D1,D2 & D3 colleges; pro players from arena football; some All Americans; players preping for pro tryouts and those that just like the game! We were nationally ranked 26th out of over 1400 Semi-pro teams.  Anyone interested can check out our website at www.bergenhawks.com.  or email me!

< A message from Bud & Jeanne (Hartenfels) Cuttito:

As for PHS....I have been trying to find the time to contact reunion leaders of all grad. classes....its about time there was one alumni org. of PHS grads. I spoke to the Athletic Director and he will post whatever we need on the school website, which has pages set aside for each grad. class to post messages. I am also working with him on the formation of a PHS "Hall Of Fame".

All classes should come together and do something for PHS.

Gotta run...talk more....stay at peace....

Love,

Bud & Jeannie

 Update:

I am finally getting to bring everyone up to current information on my health. I went to NYC 2/22 for follow-up with Dr. Post. Once again He is  going to monitor me with annual MRI unless I have new  symptoms (balance difficulties or left sided weakness) He discussed surgery for the part of the tumor that is pressing against my brain stem. It would be another long difficult surgery and long recuperation. He also mentioned the drawback of radiation on the part that is in the cavernous sinus. Very risky in this HOTSPOT as he called it. I could have more problems than I do now.

If you believe in the power of prayer...please keep me there. I thank you all so very much for keeping me afloat this past year and supporting my medical insurance. Without you, I could have  never made it. The Social Security issue is still going on and on and on.

Bruce also got a good report from his cousin, the orthopaedic surgeon.  I would love to hear from you.

Food for thought: PHS will be 50 in 2 years? Any ideas on a  gathering? Keep in touch.

I love you all.
Love,
Carolyn

Also i'm an OWL collector, I have over 3,000 of them from pictures of, to banks, figurines, cookie jars, music boxes, just to many to list. and I cant possibly take them all with us to cal.

Let me know, thanks. Barbara.

Hi Rip!
Carolyn said to tell you (to pass on to the '63 Alumni) that a poem of Bob Boyce's, Auxesis, which I set to music, will be premiered at Pocantico Hills School in Sleepy Hollow NY on Tuesday, May 11 at 10:00 AM at a "Senior Citizens Concert". Mr. Boyce is planning to be in attendance then. Coincidentally, that is his 82nd birthday! The piece will also be performed at our evening concert the following night, Wednesday, May 12, at 7:30 PM. For anyone interested and able to attend who lives in the NYC area, directions to Pocantico Hills School are at:
http://pocanticohills.org/westmap.htm
Thanks!
Bill Vollinger
